Information Technology And Methods Of Risk Management Essay

IT Risk Management Name: Professor: Course Name: Date: IT Risk Management Abstract This paper explores three published articles that report on the results of researches conducted on risks related to Information Technology and methods that can be used in the management of the same. Some of the articles agree on the definition of risks and its management while others differ. This presents a wide range of results from which a uniform conclusion can be acquired. According to Gibson (2010), a risk is the likelihood that a loss will be experienced, this happens if a certain threat has exposed a vulnerability in the organization’s system. This paper examines Gibson’s (2010) article on risk management in relation to two other articles in order to come up with a control measure for the threat facing The Home Depot.
